What does the term linking tables mean? Is that setting relationshps?

Thanks..Russ

no, Linked Tables are tables that are located in a different MDB...

I have two MDB files...

One has all the forms, queries, reports and modules...

The other one has just tables...

This way, Each person that uses the database can have a copy of the one mdb (with the forms and such), and the mdb that contains the tables is located on a network share...

see how that worked??

That's cool. So how do you link the tables?

from the database windows, go into the tables area...

Then click on New...
and then select Link Table...

That's all there is to it...

Now, Once you link the tables... the back end mdb can't be moved or the front end wont be able to see the back end...

If this is for a production database in a profesional enviroment, Test with it across the network with a couple of computers befor implimenting it...

Just my thoughts though...
