link resource down expansion 1 and 2 1

IP office 500v2 8.0(66)
2 compo cards
I ds8
2 expansions ATM16
I get the following error
Link/resource down. Expansion 1
Link/resource up. Expansion 1
this is for both expansions.
When expansion is up it shows the lines in service and idle but you can't perform inbound or outbound calls.
I have to reboot the system or change the admin state to make them out of service and again in service.
Anyone seen this this before

The modules or the ports on the IPO are broken.
Can be caused by lighting etc.

So you think I have to change the expansion ports from 1 and 2 to 3 and 4 to check if the problem is on the ports

I would try that.
What happens with the front led (on the module) when the module goes down?

Ok I'll try that on Monday.
The led on the expansion is solid green

That is normal operation but i mean when the link is down.

I know peter but I get the alarm in system status but lines are showing in service though they are not working.
So the link is green

Hmmm then try moving them on the IPO.
Could be a bad power supply too.
I know there was a techtip about it.

Power supply that's interesting
I'll first try to move the expansions to deferent ports and if that's not work I'll change the power supply

Hi all

I have read in the installation manual for ipo that the analog trunk 16 is currently only supported in North American locales
Is that correct

Yes Peter expansions are connected with original cables
One other thing is that I always get the alarms at around 4am

So what happens near the system @4Am

Does a generator kick in?
Are the cleaners in & possibly unplugging the unit (remember the old chain email about the high death rate in 1 ICU bed)
Anything else?

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Both expansions are on a ups and i'm thinking maybe the ups is the problem.
I'll disconnect them from ups gust to be sure.
