Link Folder

I have my webroot in /var/

http://www/html,

and i want to have anoher folder online too. /home/jxxtech/public so how can i link that public folder so you can get to it from the web?

Home web directories are typically accessed as "

http://server/~username".

Or, create an alias in httpd.conf:

Alias /username/ /home/username/public/
<Directory "/home/username/public/">
... configuration
</Directory>

And make sure that the Apache user can read the files.

Ok, it seems to find the folders. I added the lines but still get 403 forbidden error

btw i did chmod / own to be the same as the fiels in my /var/

http://www/html

folder

The easiest way to troubleshoot this is to su - apache and cd to the directory manually. Usually this has to do with the permissions on higher-level directories.
