Does anyone know what the line continuation character is when entering commands in cmd.exe?

We are setting up batch files with SQL Server BCP execution, and the command with all its parameters runs on. We would like to have the command spread over multiple lines for easy reading and possible editting.

I'm not sure this is what your looking for, but changing this registry and opening another DOS windows will allow you to complete/choose commands that are found in the same folder. It's called Character Completion. It's like the Linux/Unix TAB function when in the Terminal mode:

In the registry change the following hex number:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Command Processor]

"CompletionChar"=dword:00000009

"In space, nobody can hear you click..."

Thanks for the info...

We are running Windows 2000, and we found ^ (shift 6) worked for us.
