I have a chart that goes from 0.5 - 1.5 on the Y axis. What I would like is for the chart's background color between 0.5 - 0.8 to be red, 0.8 - 1.2 to be yellow, and 1.2 - 1.5 to be red.

Is there any way to do this?

Hi,

Make 3 additional columns or rows, depending on your source format, with values of .8, 1.2 & 1.5 respectively.

Copy the data and select the chart -- Edit/Paste Special to add the series.

select each of the 3 new series in turn and Chart/Chart Type - Area

Shade each area series as desired. You might also need to reorder the 3 series to get the colors to display properly.
