I need to install an analog message waiting line card and a digital line card in an option 11C that consists of three wall mounted cabinets.
This PBX is located in a stinky dog kennel at a veterinary hospital. I hope the procedure doesn't take too long because as I said, it's a stinky dog kennel.

I’ve never done this before so I’m not sure how.
Can someone tell me…
1. How do I determine the module and slot location for the card?
2. Are there any switches or jumpers on the card that I should be concerned about?
3. How do I determine what the TN of the card will be?
4. How do I check my software to see what TNs I have for the new card?
5. Does a ring generator card need to be in the same cabinet?
6. Can the card be plugged in hot?
7. Will the system need to be restarted in order to see the card?
8. What commands are used to install the card?
I’m sure this is probably easier than imagined.
I just want to make sure that I don’t do it the Wrong Way.

You sound like you need to know everything which means your not a Option tech at all, this is not the system to pick as far as trying to wing it. I would call a local Nortel tech to handle that service call.

Thanks DM! I saw that post yesterday and got the cards installed. Piece of cake.
Thanks for your help.
