How can I get an incoming DID (incoming call route with destination) to come up and ring on an actual button?

Line appearance of course doesn't work because an incoming call route is not a line.

Any ideas?

So that the user can look at his/her phone and see an intercom call and say, "What?!?" or look and see it is on a labeled DID button and say, "This is Melissa, can I help you/"

Have DID ring to an analog station. Coverage button for that analog on Melissa's phone.

Have DID ring to a hunt group. Put group key on Melissa's phone

what am riddle said... it's a field under incoming call routes/standard.

from the KB:

Tag: Default = Blank (No tag). Software level = 4.1+.
Allows a text tag to be associated with calls routed by this incoming call route. This tag is displayed with the call within applications and on phone displays. See Call Tagging.

But it will not put the call on a button. It will provide kinda like caller ID, saying that the call is coming from a particular Incoming Line Group (if I am saying that correctly). But I want it on a whole other button.

If a user is suprised that a phone can actually ring then the phone away from that user, way too dangerous :)
just use tagging and point the ddi to the user, job done.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Sometimes a ringing phone surprises me. Usually when I don't feel like working.

You could smash it against a wall :)
if you are lucky it stops ringing for ever.

He just wants his DID to come in on a button rather than the regular intercom path (a=, b=, c=)
You can have line appearances with the POTS lines but not with a span.
I like tagging but it doesn't give the customer what he wants. If I can do the hunt group thing, then that's what I gotta do. It is more work on my part *sigh* but if it puts the danged line on a button, then so be it!

Thanks again! Have a great weekend guys!
