Hi:

We have a IPO 8.018 analog trunks with users with line appearance key.
when an user dial 9xxxxxxx,the system ask for authorization code.
But, if they take line appearance key, they can dialing XXXXXXX without the system ask for authorization code

How I can do to make the system ask for the authorization code when I use the line appearance key

Thanks in advance...

have you got auth codes set ? 9 is usually used as a prefix

I have 9N short code with authorization code box checked, so all calls using 9XXXXXXX, need authorization code.
The lines are not with prefix

try adding a 9 prefix under the line , or call appearance as line appearance are not the best whatsoever

I added 9 prefix to Line
when I take the line appearance key, the display show 9
and digits outpulsed, however, the system no ask for authorization code

are you using ARS?

and please please try this with call appearance(get rid of the line apperance keys and tell the cusdtomer how wonderful it is that the system does all the work for them ) and just get them to dial the number and not press the line key the IPO is not a key and lamp system and will not work well trying to emulate one.

we are using user rights with ARS
user right: 9N,dial, N, line Gp 50, with authorization code box checked.
ARS 50:Main: N;,dial,N, line gp 1

Our customer is Die hard, old Norstar, so they want as they were before.

as someone said, all his impertinences are orders!!

try main system short code ? . Dial with forced auth code ticked, send to to youre ars table.Sorrty user rights short code same as what i suggested for main system.

In ars table 9N Dial N line group 1

line appearance bypass the ARS, so I think you (or the customer) is out of luck on this one. The only way around it would be to talk to your telco, and see if the auth codes could be moved to the central office, although this can create all sorts of other issues (e.g. with PRI, I've never managed to get mobile twinning to work properly using CO auth codes and a cell number that is actually Long distance WRT the IPO... e.g. you need to dial an auth code to get to the mobile twinned cell number)

This is another in a long list of reasons NOT to use line appearances.

so under each user short code or user rights.

9N

Dial

N

Direct line not ARS table.

WOW!!!

I am doing test on my Lab,
I delete short codes,ARS,etc.that could interfere with dialing.
Then, I take the line appearance key and dial XXXXXXXX and make the call!!!

Line appearence bypass all!!

I will have explain the customer this....

Muchas gracias por todo...

Saludos...

Ahhh pink love mmmmmmmmm, glad you got it sorted though thats the important thing , but honestly learning curve for you leave line appearance alone ,call apperance is so much more flexable , I understand youre problem though the customer is always right and some b***ers never want to change , anyway like i said well done genrally there is not much you cant do with the IPO its just playing until you get there.
