I have a user that gets a lot of phone traffic. Sometimes she will have one call on hold and then be takeing another call when someone important calls and goes stright to VM since line 1 and 2 are in use. Is it posible to add a line 3? Or is there some other way around this? Running BC8.

The best way is to create a group hunt. Change the existing number to a new number. Then the original number to a group hunt. Then create several ADNs. Then add the member in the group including the new ODN.

good idea, but often user does not accept to change the internal odn-number. Thatswhy I create a new gh with a new number and I convert the incoming dialled number into the gh-number with nutri. So everybody is happy... It works from outside and internally all is unchanged.

How would I do that? I looked up nutri but it wasn't clear. When the person is calling inside what number would show up?

Thanks

Well, according to lalrl; we will keep the ODN number instead. Create a group hunt and also ADNs. Then link the ODN and ADN to the group as a member. You can create as many ADN you like. If you ring the group it will seize all members one by one depends also on your selection category of the group. The problem now is you will publish the new group number for this user so everybody know internally what is the new number. But I don't think the problem is internally. I think what the concern of the user is incoming calls. This time you will do something on you NUTRP data so that you can reroute incoming DDI number from the old original ODN to the new group number. I hope you can change it in your NUTR table.

Thanks all! I took her ODN (111) and made it a hunt group then I made her phone 108 and put 107 and 106 in the 111 hunt group. This is working but has resulted in 2 undesirable side effects.

1. She used to forward her phone to the operator when she wasn't there. Now if she forwards 108 the caller gets 107 or 106. If she forwards 108, 107 and 106 the call gets an all users busy signal.

2. Her mesage waiting light dosn't work any more. I have her voicemail box as 111 and if callers can't get her at 108 (by dialing 111) they get voicemail. But, MEW does not flash because the messages are on 111 not 108.

We are running BC8 and useing a Repartee VM.

Is there a way to solve these problems? Would upgrading to BC12 help? Would useing Ercsson VM help?

One thought I had was to make her an additional operator. Then if she was off duty her calls would go to the regular operator. She has a lot of the buttons on her phone programed as MDNs so that she can see when other people are on the phone. I think we might have to go to BC12 to make her an OPR and still have programable buttons. Sorry for the ramble. Any ideas?

This is really wierd. The user needs more lines and now frequently diverting the phone to the operator. In BC12 you can set CDIV...31..., if the user press div key it will divert ODN and ADN at the same time. Right now the user will divert individual number. The group itself should have divert/overflow to the operator. Regarding voicemail, this can be configure in repartee to have 1 notification for all extensions e.g 1 mew key for ODN and PBX group. Ask the tech responsible on your voicemail.

an alternative is to have the ADNs on her phone as per above idea but make her number a PELPI with delivery first to her number then to the ADNs (upto 4 extra answer points).

She can turn this profile on and off as required and forward her number to the operator who can already handle multi calls. (turn off when diverting to operator) If she's not sure about turning it on or off you can enter feature codes under 2 of her keys and then it's single button push for end user to turn on or off. job done!
