Hi again!

I need again your help in implementing a security for our system.

We have production server located on our data center. We want to restrict the users/developers that can telnet to the serer. Is there a way that we can just identify a set of IP addresses that can telnet to the server?

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
aaronkeith

You could create/edit the /etc/hosts.deny and /etc/hosts.allow files and create relevant entries to stop/allow the connections you want.

For config & usage of these files you will have to surf the net a bit, there are some samples around.

IBM Certified Confused - MQSeries
IBM Certified Flabbergasted - AIX 5 pSeries System Administration
MS Certified Windblows Rebooter

thank you so much for the info. I will try to check the net for some samples.
