What release are you on? In later releases there is a Outgoing Trunk Disconnect Timer on the COR page. Page 2.

My page 2 looks like this:

change cor 1 Page 2 of 4
CLASS OF RESTRICTION

MF Incoming Call Trace? n
Brazil Collect Call Blocking? n
Block Transfer Display? n
Block Enhanced Conference/Transfer Displays? y
Remote Logout of Agent? n

Outgoing Trunk Disconnect Timer (minutes):

We are on ACM 1.3 Release 11 - Not sure when or what release it was added..

I don't think that the timers have anything to do with forcing a disconnect on the trunk, only on disconnecting the call after one party hangs up.
From the Avaya adment books:
"DEFINITY Enterprise Communication Server Release 9
Administrator’s Guide 555-233-506
Issue 2.1

Disconnect Timing (msec)
This field specifies the minimum time in milliseconds that the central office or
far-end switch requires to recognize that your switch has disconnected from a call.
This timer does not affect ports on a circuit pack that uses the administrable
Incoming Disconnect and Outgoing Disconnect timers; in fact, settings on those
two timers override this field.
Valid entries Usage
140 to 2550 ms
in increments of
10
The default of 500 is an industry standard and you shouldn’t
change it. If you set this field too high, your switch won’t
disconnect sometimes when it should; too low, and it will
disconnect when it shouldn’t."

"Forward Disconnect Timer (msec)
Specify the duration of a momentary disconnect sent by the switch to an analog
station user when that user is the last party still off-hook on a call.
Valid entries Usage
25 to 1500 (in increments of 25).

The Outgoing Trunk Disconnect Timer on the COR page does exactly what it says. If you set it to 5 min it will disconnect the outgoing call at 5 min. It will give you a warning beep 30 sec or a min prior to it being disconnected. We use it here on our lobby phones.

I ain't got no stinking "The Outgoing Trunk Disconnect Timer on the COR page 2" on my pbx!! Maybe I should upgrade?
Sorry, I should have read the post and seen that it was talking about COR instead of the trunk group form.
I stand corrected, and have learned something new.
