Like to do some ASP but know nothing...advice reqd

hi All

I am trying to get more in to internet programming. Have just bought DreamWeaver 4, I already have JBuilder and J++6(learning Java). I have SqlSrv 7 on my pc and would like to know how a go about building some simple Active Server Pages. Do I need any other software/DLL's etc? and how could I get a simple Select result set to appear on an HTML page ?

I'd be very grateful if anyone could recommend a book or point me in any direction (eg web site) to get me started.
