Hi,

Is there any way to overcome the current licensing limitation of crystal report webs users from 5 to unlimited.

Please advise!

Hi

Is this for having web report?

cheers

What you are asking is "how to break the law". You'll need to purchase additional licenses or maybe look at Crystal Enterprise.

This is for web reporting

No Craigber, I was meaning is there any alternative?
I heard that for CRPE, we don't need any licensing only to view it.

But for crystal runtime we need licensing but it has added features for exporting report etc.

So I was wondering if CRPE could be alternative for using in reports designed by 8.5 version without using export.

Thanks!

hi
I had the same problem.
If your going to have these report on the web and user can query or pass parameters to view, you can only have 5 user sessions going .
you can change for time out on tour web server to ping in there no activity from the end user to kill the session otherwise you have to get the report distribution from crystal decision kbase section
the user can download the report and view it on there screen.

NOTE if the database data change they will need to get the latest version from your website.

This is the only royalty free way to web report

Sorry that I misunderstood your question...

What you heard is not correct. The number of concurrent instances of the runtime is limited. The CRPE is one of the runtimes.
