Licensing error

I had to rebuild my system recently, and ever since that day, I haven't been able to make an exe. I get an error :

"License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment"

I use a few third-party controls with valid CD-KEYs (Sheridan). They "transferred" the registration from a previous programmer's name onto my name (don't know what that has to do with my issue), but that didn't work.

Any help would be great.

Microsoft has various solutions for the problem. You can find out more on their website. Do a search for vb5cli.exe and vb6cli.exe. They are the utilities that correct the problem depending on your version of vb.
