license problem

I am getting the following error and cannot figure out what is going on!!

NO license was available for user DOMAINSYSYSTEMS\"USER" using product MSExchangeIS 6.4417
event id 201
source license service

We are using W2k server with 25 users. Is there a seperate user license for Exchange?

Yes. Open Licensing in Admin Tools to see what's on your server.

I am not sure if this will resolve your problem or this could be totally off.

In the services, disable the license manager.

Yup sure stopping the licence service will also stop the "error" messages, but be aware that you MUST have a valid licence for every mailbox on exchange as well as every user on Win2K
