A couple of questions for you, which I'd like some expert advice on.

Can either of the following operations be performed without causing the item in question to become non-operational:

LDK ASMU1 module, software upgrade to ASMU2?

LIP-88XX SIP handset, software change to LIP-80XX IP handset?

Something I've been wondering about for some time, mainly for my own curiosity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Some comments on your questions:
Q1:
LDK ASMU1 module, software upgrade to ASMU2?
A1:
Since ASMUx are physical boards, the actaul board swap should not cause prblems. (ought not to!).
I would use the same s/w for ASMU1 and ASMU2, when swapping.
Also make a backup and put it in a safe place before.

Q2:
LIP-88XX SIP handset, software change to LIP-80XX IP handset?
A2:
If it is "only" a software swap, I guess it would allright.
Sometimes the HW is locked to s/w versions, so test this before promising anyone - anything!
