Letterhead template on Outlook 2000 e-mail

Has anyone been able to put their letterhead as a template for their e-mail? I have scanned the letterhead and saved as .jpg and saved it into acrobat, but cannot choose those as my stationary.

Am i being dense here? I'm sure this is possible, who know how?
