Hi,

I need to be able to support 2 versions of my web application (current version and previous for those who do not wish to upgrade yet). I have many clients in many different environments and i do not want to have 2 different URL's for each client. I'm looking for a way to pass in a virtual directory or querystring variable to tell the site what root folder to use. Anyone have any ideas?

I always make an application or request scope variable for the domain name, root folder, physical path, etc... so that i can change it if needed, easily clone the app to another server, etc...

How are your links and urls writen? absolute, relative, a bit-o-both?

Phase 1: Read the CFML Reference
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit!

most of it is relative which is where the problem comes in. it would not be worth-while to change the way we link to files at this point, it would have to be something i put at the front of the site to determine what the root folder should be and not change the rest of the links- they have to work the same way as always. trying to think of a way of putting a switch in somewhere to trick IIS/CF into using a different root folder for that session...
