After several questions and advise from the forum, I have just received by LDK24

Question now (sorry) is what have I bought and how do
I set it up?

I've attached a couple of pictures but working down the side panel.

4 LAN ports and a DMZ port (what is this?)

Blanking panel labeled DSL - nothing behind is this for a Broadband card?

Blue jack output labelled EXP
Red jack output labelled MOR
Green block labeled alarm/relay

2 banks of ports labelled LC01 > LC04

2 banks of ports labelled DKT1/SLT1 > DKT4/SLT4

1 more bank of ports DKT1, DKT2, SLT1, SLT2

Thanks in advance.

Jez.

You should have station 14 to 17 on the first DSIB8 board and station 22 to 25 on the next board.
Maybe try to restart the system. -> White push button on the MPB. The board placed to the left in your picture of the ipLDK-24.

Pressed the reset, still the same.

How do I setup 14-17 to be on the first board?

Jez.

This is done in PGM110. Just correct and press OK. Remember that a station number is unique in PGM110, so you cannot have 2 pcs of "station 14". If you want to swap station 10 and 14, you can do like this: Swap 10 to 30, then 14 to 10, then you will have station 14 in the first port of the BFB board.

Hi Doktor,

This is where I appear to be stuck.

Looking at the table in 110, The only input field is the 'associated station number', so I added 14,15,16,17 to first first block of DKTI. Press save, the data I have inout is then erased and the screen looks as before.

Am I doing something wrong?

Jez.

Strange. Maybe I should look into this through a Team Viewer - installed on your laptop. Can you install Team Viewer 10 and send me a mail when ready. See my details in the signature below.

Maybe try to reset the ipLDK-24 to factory defaults, if you haven't entered some data.

On the processorboard set SW4, dip 1+2+3+4 to ON and
SW2 (battery back-up) set to OFF.
The power OFF and then ON again.
Or use the SW3 to reset.

After it is up and running:

On the processorboard set SW4, dip 1+2+3 to ON and dip 4 to OFF and
SW2 (battery back-up) set to ON.

Now login to 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin and set the country code in PGM100 to UK and use the SW3 to reset.

Now all stations 10-29 should work.

Hi Jez

I send you the full ipLDK-24 Programming manual. Here is the network part, where the IP address of 192.168.1.1 can be changed to another one. See pages 6+7.
To change - click on LAN settings.

Network Admin

The first page of Network Admin is presented, following captured image, and the brief description about the menu.
 Status : the status of connections
 Quick Start : set the attributes related with DHCP and PPPoE
 System : Error log, Remote Access, Upgrade, Restart (can upgrade new firmware)
 Configuration : change and save permanently configurations in detail.

Aaarrrrrrr,

Rushed over to try pair 3 after your email.

Nothing, so connected all 3 pairs, stations 10&11 worked, but none if the others.

Then tried loads of combinations and at one stage I got a sync (no station number) from port 4 of the first card. None of the other 7 ports worked.

ended up doing a reboot after which only 10&11 worked!!!!

Can I check the cards with you please as they do differ.

PROGRESS!!!

Using either a secondary or PABX tail I now get the 7024 to work on Stations 10&11.

Using a secondary tail I now get the 7008 to work on Stations 14&15&16&22&23&24&25, but nothing on 17.

I'm guessing it all down to wiring?
The only issue is the 7024 will receive calls, but comes up invalid when you try and dial an internal number.

Cheers,
Jez.

Hi Jez

The CDSIB8, DSIB8, DTIB8 and SLIB8 boards for the ipLDK-24 share the same cabling so pair 1 and 3 should be used.
Please remember never to take boards in/out of the ipLDK-24, when the power is ON!!
Always switch OFF the mains before pulling/insering boards.
Boards and backplane will suffer!

Maybe try to reset-to-factory-defaults, and initializing using PGM450.

Here is the procedure:

On the processorboard set SW4, dip 1+2+3+4 to ON and
SW2 (battery back-up) set to OFF.
The power OFF and then ON again.
Or use the SW3 to reset.

After it is up and running:

On the processorboard set SW4, dip 1+2+3 to ON and dip 4 to OFF and
SW2 (battery back-up) set to ON.

BR Henrik

Update

Using the PABX tail the 7024 works on Stations 10&11.

Using a secondary tail I now get the 7008 to work on Stations 14&15&16&22&23&24&25, but nothing on 17.

Wiring wise what is the difference between a PABX and secondary tail?

Cheers,
Jez.

I just want to publicly thank Doktor for his help.

He really is a top guy, spending his time passing on his knowledge and helping others.

Thank you Henrik.

Regards Jez.

Sort of, I can only the 7024 to work in 10&11 and the 7008 in 14 onwards!

Now moved onto getting the dect side of things working.

Cheers,
Jez.
