Hi

I would like to know if some can explain me how DISA service works.

CUST 0
DN 8498
SCOD
AUTR YES
TGAR 0
NCOS 0
COS UNR
CCBA NO
RANR NONE
DGTS NONE

In my central office when the PBX receives a call and match with 8498 it works as calling call, I mean: tone + PIN + destination number. This service was confirugured three years ago so I can change this by myself.

You reply will be greatly apreciated.

Anyway, take a VERY precious care about it. It's a door for hacking, and believe me, oftenly use...

With AUTR = YES, you are controlling DISA access with your Auth Codes.

The "tone + PIN + destination number" is the Tone + AuthCode as defined in LD88 + the desired phone number.

Your scenario has these risks:

--If your AUTH codes are short, they are easy to stmble upon.

--If you have not deleted AUTH codes known by terminated employees, they can make free calls anywhere.

You might want to consider abandoning the use of DISA in favor of Calling Card or even "Pre-Paid" phone cards from Wal-Mat/Sams-Club - figure on 3 cents per/minute...might be below your LD rate too.

The only concern with Pre-Paid - make sure your CPA certified finance person has a say - there are IRS considerations for them to consider.
