All,

If I print out my RDB for ROUT 2 I can see 'AUTO NO'
I want to change this to 'AUTO YES' then input an ACD DN (which has NCFW to Voicemenu) so that 'incomplete' i/c dialled calls will route to the voice menu instead of routing to the swbd op.

But when I get to PTYP DCO, the next prompt should be AUTO, but the PBX skips this and goes to DNIS NO

How did you define this route 2? DID, COT, ISA??

TKTP ?

you can't change that prompt without taking out the trunks. since they will have a prompt added ..atdn.. which requires an input.. out the trunks, then out the route, then put the route back in.. you can (for service) out a couple of trunks at a time and put them back into a new rdb with auto =to yes.. if that route needs to stay up

All,

Thanks for the info

Trk TYPE is DID.

Horrible thought.
If I out/rebuild with AUTO YES
will ATDN terminate my INCOMPLETE dialled calls ONLY, or will ALL calls regardless of nbr dialled terminate on my ATDN VMenu?

??

Thanks
Jimbo

yep, can't use auto on a did trunk because your receiving digits from the co

Thanks John.

In that case - is it possible to route incomplete i/c dialled calls to my Voice Menu?

Thanks
Jimbo

incomplete meaning ? inbound calls must be complete for the co to know where to route them, other wise you can use rdr data to send calls anywhere, but for the mail to know where to send them the dialed number must reside in the mail, either a voice service dn or a mb...

You may want to look at INTR in ld 21. If this is a PRI DID I don't think the AUTO prompt ever appears because this would defeat the DID feature. It may just be calls to vacant number (CTVN). only partial number appears on console due to the fact that it recognized that no sets were built in this range (ie "12" is displayed nothing with 12xx is built in switch)

right 12 if unused would route to the intr, but that's from internal... internal misdials would drive my att's crazy

What?? A Route Data Block infers TRUNK calls not internal calls. But internal calling has it's own column in the intr treatment.

how can you receive a incomplete dn from the co? if i dial from outside, 434 12... how does the co send me a 12 or anything else? that's why i assumed it was not from an external source..

The number comes in as the full number (NPANXXEXTx) to the OPT The switch stops where it cannot recognize number anymore and that is what is sent to the console.

ok, the number comes in as 1200, but with no dn in use the 12, routes to a vacant niumber.. i would put 12 in my idc table and point it to a menu service or ran

Yes that would work. But if using a RAN you would only need to put ran in ctvn (ctvn ovf ovf ran ran) this would send all tie and did calls to vacant numbers to ran recording. Less programming and as sets are built in that range you would not have to change anything.

ctvn (ctvn ovf ovf ran ran with that command where do you tell the switch which ran? i don't use idc, i use a ran with vnr pointed to it. that works internal and external. with 1800 vacant did's idc is not an option, but i think he also needed the prompts for sending vacants to a menu service
