I'm looking for the simplest solution for this scenario:
I have a Windows 2003 domain set up, and there's a Live Communication Server running in it. Desktop users in the domain use the LCS client.
I have a roaming user who uses a laptop that is not a member of the domain, but needs to be able to connect to the LCS server from the outside.
I believe I've set up the required external ports to make the connection to the server, but there's confusion about which Messenger client to use on the laptop, and how to handle certs.
There is a VPN available, but the preference is to not have to have to VPN connected in order to be logged into LCS. If it's necessary to use the VPN to aid initial setup, that's fine.
Any ideas/feedback?
