What does .LCK mean? I know it means locked, but why? Does it have something to do with the....get-put demand or what? Thank you.

This is used with the checkin/checkout system in Dreamweaver. When the file is checked out, the lck file is created so another user cannot edit the file you are working on. So a file will be checked out at only one person at a time.
