My "Quick Launch bar" on the Windows XP taskbar has six items but it only shows three of them. When I slide the marker to the right, in order to show them all, It works, but if I restart Windows it comes back to showing only three.

Can you help?

When you have changed the Quick Launch bar to your desired length, right click on the Task bar and select "lock the task bar".

No... I've tried that... It still doesn't work.

I can only try this later. Thanks for the link!!

Any more ideas?

Right-click the Taskbar and uncheck "Lock the taskbar." Then place the mouse cursor over the double row of vertical dots that define the boundary of the Quick Launch area, hold down the left mouse button, drag the boundary to the desired size/position, and release the mouse button. If desired, you can then relock the Taskbar.

No... that doesn't work. It still comes back to the initial state.

Do you have permissions to save changes to the desktop?

Yes.

Could the tool on the other topic of the forum, the one that changes the taskbar to its default state work?

The vbs script worked! Thanks for the help!
