Hi,
Get the properties window up (windows - properties). There are two radio buttons with "fixed" and "autostretch". Pick the "fixed".
Alternativley you can type in the cell width directly into your code eg <td width="100">blah</td>
The "make widths consistent" - on your table click the green tab and then click the arrow with a number next to it, this brings up various options including the above.
