launch with a link

I want to launch my quicktime media with a text link instead of a image (or static player) so it looks like my Realplayer and Windows media links.
Is this possible or with quicktime do you alway have to embed the player in the page?

A. QuickTime currently does not support this functionality. However, a javascript can be created to launch the media in a custom sized browser window.
