Having read ALL the threads regarding this, I have tried:

Installing and uninstalling and reinstalling.
I have done that in XP 2 compatibility mode.
I have removed and added it in the Phone and Modem app.
Rebooted, rebooted and rebooted.
We do not find tspi2w.tsp on the computer.

we are using a TAPI enabled CRM but no device shows up other than;
agileVPN
pptp
sstp
RAS pppoe Line
WAN MiniPort (L2TP)

My Phone Modem Advanced list
shows Avaya IP office TAPI2 Service Provider
Microsoft HID Phone TSP
NDIS Proxy TAPI SP
TAPI Kernal-mode SP
Unimodem 5 SP

Phone Manager runs, and displays info correctly. It will not dial, if we list a number without the starting 9 we get the wailing horn. If we dial the 9, we get a dial tone. We'd like it to dial, and we'd like to dial from our CRM. We were successful on a single XP box for a while. Now we are replacing all workstations with WIn7 64.

any help, suggestions, would be appreciated.

I don't know how I would put to use comments like: "it should work" or "it worked for me" but I welcome all others.

Avaya IP office TAPI2 Service Provider = tspi2w.tsp

TAPI has no connection with Phone Manager, two different things.
If you see "Avaya IP office TAPI2 Service Provider" in the "My Phone Modem Advanced list" then go into the settings of the TAPI2 Servce provider and enter a user name as programmed under Short Name in Manager and enter the IP Address of IP Office, after configuring reboot the PC.
Then go to Start, Run Program ( Windows flag + R ) and type "dialer.exe".
The Windows dialler shows up and select the Avaya TAPI as the to be used line.
Make a call, reeive a call.
If it doesn't work then maybe you better change job as TAPI has never failed for me after installing on whatever Win OS you can think of.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

I see tspi2_64.tsp, I thought that the 64 bit version of TAPI.

The Avaya TAPI doesn't show in dialer, I see:
agileVPN
pptp
sstp
RAS pppoe Line
WAN MiniPort (L2TP)

It does show up on the advanced tab in Phones and modems. But I can't get to the advanced tab of that app from Dialer.exe

I to am wondering the same thing, Running office 2010 pro , Win 7 x64 ultimate. avaya dialer works fine but tapi doesn't show up in dialer and when clicking on line options in outlook you get an error.
Our reseller cant solve it either. anyone come up with a solution.

@Aride4ever, are you running 2010 in 64 bit mode?

You might try this;

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

When you go into your Phone Modem Advanced list, is there anything entered in when you select Avaya IP office TAPI2 Service Provider and click the configure button?

What I have noticed is that the installation Wizard on Windows 7 64 does not populate the IP office address or user name for the service. You need to enter it manually and reboot as intrigrant suggested.

you know guys slowly but surely Avaya should get this right without us jumping through hoops to get it working.
64 bit Windows is around for quite a while and how darn difficult can it be to get the installer right, other companies can get it right why is Avaya not able to do it.
Almost every TAPI install regardless of 32 or 64 bit you have to tweak and bend until if finally works and trying to explain to the local IT guys the many steps you have to take to make it work on 100+ PC's which takes them days to finish rather than just clicking installing entering the IP address, user name (from a dropdown would be nice) and password and done.
