Last night I did my updates on my home computer, there were 3 of them, Security update for win XP, Microsoft GDI+Detection Tool and Cumulative Security Update for IE 6 SP1. I haven't loaded SP2 yet,(not brave enough I guess). Anyway, the GDI immediately told me to go to this link to start loading updates for my Office 2003. The site had steps 1-3. I did step 1, and I had to reboot from that and the windows updates that were by then done. Then I tried to go back to the website to go to step 2 and found I could no longer get to the web. I looked under services and noticed that the dated had changed to yesterdays date, but I don't know what the update changed to prevent to from accessing the internet. I did check the firewall (just from what I read on SP updates) and it is set to manual, so I know it's not that. Does anyone have an idea what it might be? I just got the same update notices on my laptop, and I don't want to update that one and mess that up too!
Thanks,
Annette
