LaserJet 4100 PCL Prints random characters at footer

We have a network connected HP 4100 PCL printer that has started to print random characters at the bottom of every page it prints from certain Win2k stations. This only happens on the stations that had the printer installed recently (using add printer>>network>>connect through name

Any ideas??

Hi,
A few options:
1. A virus.
2. Corrupt driver-where is the driver being installed from?
3. Ink on the drum.(unlikely)
