Lag tine opening up files

When opening WORD, or any Office component we run into the following issue.

One the first attempt on opening a file, if you try to change to another directory to pull from, there is about a 2 minute lag time before that directory appears. Once you do this initially, the 2 minute lag no longer occurs when trying to select other directories. I ran the office repair feature, no luck.

Any suggestions ?

Check to see if Journalling is enabled in Outlook. If it is, disable it. "A married man should forget all his mistakes. There is no point in two people remembering the same thing."

is this on just one machine or all machines? if it's just on one machine try opening it on another pc. if it works fine there then try logging in as a different user ex. administrator on the machine that is having the problem. if the problem no longer exists then it might be a profile problem.
