Labtec PC Microphone

I have just purchased a Labtec PC Microphone. I have plugged it into my PC. I an not sure where to go from here. There doesnt seem to be a driver disk with the microphone and when i try to find new hardware windows doesnt find it. I tried going into MSN Messenger and then into the audio wizard but the microphone doesnt show.

You should have a volume control for your sound system. The microphone would be enabled and controlled within the sound system's software (volume control, mixer, etc). A microphone is not installed, and doesn't show up anywhere as a hardware device. You might want to use earphones with the microphone to avoid feedback from the speakers.
