I am printing labels, 2 across and 4 down. The first page prints correctly, but on subsequent pages the top left label only prints one line too high. All the other labels on the page print correctly. This happens on all pages except the first one.

I am using Crystal Reports within VB.Net, printing to an Intermec Easycoder C4 label printer (thermal).

Any help will be very appreciated.

I'd guess that it's a printer driver issue.

Does it shift when it displays?

Try another driver if possible, and test on another printer.

Unfortunately Windows doesn't give you much control over the printer.

Well, folks, I'm getting confused in my old age. I am having a problem with the Intermec printer, but that is something that is entirely different from this label printing problem.

The printer I am using to print labels is on a HP Laserjet 4300TN and an IBM Infoprint 1145.

I am really sorry I stated the wrong printer up front.

Did you design the report using the Mail Label Report Expert?

My questions still stand, what happens when you display, and do you get different results with different printers?

I layed out the label myself, did not use the wizard.
Printing to different printers and displaying the results with the CR Show Reports gets the same results.

I'm only a new comer to CR, but had a similar problem. Exactly as you said, that the first page of my 10 x 2 label page was ok, but as you say, the top left label on the second and subsequent pages had the top part cut out. The right hand lable was fine!

I noticed on my my report that on the second and subsequent pages on the preview pane (where it shows the Detail and section boundaries, ie. Da, Db, etc ... what is this part called???), that some were overlapping ... I don't know why?

Anyway, I slightly modified the top part of the first item in my mail label in the Design page (dragged it up a minute bit), and this fixed my problem. So I don't know what exactly I did, but I think I got lucky and this fixed my problem. It did not affect the way that the labels printed at all, apart from the fact that it fixed my missing lines on page 2 onwards.

Regards,
Roger
