Hi

I am using a HP-UX C8000 workstation for CAD work and PC for my documentation. My desk area just got reduce (new office layout) so I would like to reclaim some space by having a KVM switch for the two computers I use. I have tried using a USB KVM switch I have, the HP station did like it. I have seen it done with an HP-UX C3700 and a PC but I do not rememeber what KVM switch was used. I would greatly appreciate any insight or advice anyone has for what manufacture and model to use.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hmmm. have you tried using a standard KVM switch that just connects the mouse/keyboard/monitor? Also, if you used your mouse/keyboard with the KVM switch, are you using Logitech keyboard/mouse? If using logitech peripherals, try using microsoft instead (if available), b/c the logitech website states they do not support kvm functionality, though I've read in some posts here that some have gotten logitech stuff to work with SOME kvm's..

I have already tried one USB KVM switch that does not work the HP-UX workstation. The switch does work with a logitech USB mouse and a HP USB keyboard for two PCs (Window ME, 2000 and varies linux favours). If someone knows for sure a KVM switch that will work with the HP-UX workstation and a PC, please let me know which one.

Thanks in advance for any help.
