I have a Fujitsu laptop and XP Pro. All of a sudden when I press certain keys I get odd results, eg "i" produces "5", "o" = "6", u=4, p=-, jklm = 1230. If I hold down the Fn key I get the correct character, which is what I've done when writing this. I presume I must have accidently pressed some combination of keys to cause this problem, but I can't solve it, and turning the computer off and on has'nt solved it. Can someone help please/

On laptop computers, those keys are usually re-mapped to numbers to mimic the number pad on a conventional keyboard. Look for a 'num lock' key, keeping in mind that it may be a function key combination. On my HP latop, it Function-Scroll to toggle this functionality.

Very many thanks, George. I unlocked Num Lock as you suggested, and hey presto, my problem solved, (and I feel rather stupid). Most grateful.
