kernel and Qmgr connecting to the web

Why do my kernel and Qmgr connecting to microsoft?
The only reason i ask is my sygate firewall is telling me this. Do i need to let them connect with microsoft?

What is Qmgr. do i need it on startup?

You have MSN Messenger. If you don't use it you can uninstall it. If you uncheck it from your startup it will just come back again.

yes i do have msn messenger and i do use it so i will live with it. thanks.
