I set up an exchange 2000 server on my domain and I am able to connect to the server from another machine. When I try to logon though no matter what user name and PW I use it keeps rejecting.

The one thing I saw that was unusual is that in the active directory, when I create a new user there isn't any info about the exchange account, but all of the services are running.

Also I keep getting an error when I run the exchange server manager and attempt to view the public folders. "ID no: 80004005"

Thanks in advance!

Sounds to me like you never created an Exchange account for the user.
If you want to create exchange mailboxes at the same time you create a new user account you need to use the 'AD Users and Computers' snap-in on the Exchange server itself.
Or
You can installed the E2K System Management Tools on the domain controllers. Then use 'AD Users and Computers' snap-in from the Exchange program group.
To create a mailbox for the existing user go to 'AD Users and Computers' on the Exchange server, right click the user and select 'Exchange Tasks' then follow the Wizard.
