Keeping Track of Application Usage in Terminal Services

I know that in Citrix you can use "Resource Manager" to keep a count of how many instances of specific applications are running. It will also notify you if the number of instances exceed the limit you specify which enables you to manage application licenses.

Now, Lets pull Citrix out of the equation....Is it possible to do the same thing (e.g. manage/keep track of/monitor application licenses being used) with JUST Microsoft Terminal Services. If so, could you please help. :)

If they're Microsoft products, you can use the Licensing Admin tool to see how many licences you have and are using for each product.
Not sure about Terminal Services tho. We use Dameware here, and it's not only possible, it's nessicary for making sure everyone is up to date on certain programs (Antivirus, service packs, etc.)
