Greetings,

I am running an sp that usually takes about 45 minutes to complete.

I am a bit frustrated because I keep getting knocked off the server for some reason.

Here is the error message:

A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.)

It seems to occur the same time a message in Outlook pops up saying Outlook is trying to send/receive...

Is this issue due to a flaky internet connection or hub or could it be the sp?

I am working off what should be a solid T1 connection.

Thanks for your help.

If I had to guess... I'd say a flaky internet connection or hub.

Try remotely logging into the server and running the proc from there.

Also a 45 minute proc is tremendously long. Have you considered ways to improve performance?
