Julian Dates and Consecutive numbers

I want to be able to create an Acquisition number with three parts, a static text, the julian date, and then a serial number for that day. An example is:

6X635-2031-0001
6X635-2031-0002
6X635-2032-0001

The 6X635 number is the static number, the 2031 is the julian date, and the 0001, 0002 is the incrementing number for each record created that day.

Julian and NOT Gregorian dates?

Yes please, Julian. For this year, it would be 2001 through 2365. I don't even remember what a Gregarian date looks like.
