I have a Partner systen with Partner 18 phones. We have a coverage group for a particular department, and I have successfully added particular extensions to that group (group 771), but the department phones have a programmed button to manually join the group, and I do not know the keystrokes necessary to join the phones or program the button.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

I don't think there is a button to join the group, you just add them and put a DND to the phone if they don't want to answer group calls

Westi is right. I would go to one of the phones that already has the "log-in" button on it, press Feature 00, then press the "log-in" button and see what it says in the display of the telephone. I bet it is a Do Not Disturb Button.

Thank you both for the reply.

I located a staff that didn't have the button programmed.

She hits Feature 764 (followed by the coverage group) 771.

Any idea what that feature is called?

Thanks again.

Well, looks like your Partner 18-D phone is connected to a Merlin Magix control unit, and the installer did not change the designation strip to read "Merlin ETR-18D".

The button you need is ES-2, and you should be able to program it with Feature 00, press the button, #764, Feature *00.

Good one TTT
