Anyone know of a Javascript development program that has source line debugging? Preferably, shareware or freeware?

------------Christian

Hello Christian,

Netscape includes a debugging aide that helps you locate and identify errors. Type javascript: into the location box on the browser. This opens a window with error messages. A message to do this is flashed in the status line whenever Netscape detects a javascript error.

Else you can sear for Coffeecup (think I spelled it correct) at download.cnet.com and download their sharware HTML program (not sure but I think it has what you are searching for) My codes look like something a kid wrote
I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about
Somehow I still manage to make it work

Internet Explorer also has debugging. Just go to "Tools, Internet Options, Advanced" and uncheck "Disable Script Debugging" and check the "Display a notification about every script error" box.

In fact, if you download the Internet Tools with your IE download, I believe you also get the Microsoft Script Debugger, which is kind of like "Visual Studio lite" for Javascript and VBScript. If you install this, then yo actually get the choice to open the debugger and edit the script directly.
