Hey You!

Need help very quickly!
In CiscoView I can't Configure Ports on all Switches. The configure button is missing but all community strings are set. Darn, Huh?!

And if I double-click on the chassis of a Switch there is a windows-window to enter my username and password (level 15 access). But after correct input the next SAME window is shown, only in java style. AND: the first line in this window (before enter the login for privilege 15 access) shows the ip address in this form: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Same IP address with a slash in the middle. And I can enter my password until X-Mas: It won't be accepted although it is the right one (and matched in the very first window).

Strange: One time it has functioned. But never again.

So?

Hey!
use the latest IOS for your 3500XL /2900XL switch (12.0.5WC3b). There is a bug in the older IOS versions.
If you are using CW2k there is a workaround with older IOS. Clear the cache of your browser and Java. Close the browser and start it again. login to CW2k and open a map in Topology Services. Open the device you want to configure (right clicking on the device) or open it through the Device Manager.
