I am running BES 4.0.3.1.5
It is on a Windows 2003 SP1 server.
When I orginally installed, JAva was working fine, and the devices were able to use the BlackBerry web browser fine.
Couple of months ago, the server started giving me Java errors. I was going to uninstall and then reinstall in hopes to get ride of the errors.
Now that Java has been unistalled, it will not reinstall.
I can get version 1.3 installed, but for the BlackBerry Mobile Data Service to run, it needs to be 1.4 or higher.
The error that I get is:
Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of th esetup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
I tried to contact Sun, it has been 4 months now and no response from them. I have done serveral searches, adn found a couple of things to try to no avail.
I am out of ideas other than reinstalling the OS from scratch.
Anyone have any suggestions??
