I'm having a problem with outlined text in .eps files looking jagged when converted to a PDF. Unfortunatly our workflow only supports Acrobat 4.0 and I'm wondering if it might be a problem between Acrobat Illustrator 10. It's not bitmapped though. The characters just look strange.

Do they look strange on screen only and okay in print? Acrobat 4 does not offer the same screen smoothing options as Acrobat 5 and 6. Even if you only have Acrobat 4 (full product), you can still use Adobe Reader 6 to view and print files.

just a thought, but if you have placed the eps into quark and the link is missing, you will see jagged looking or missing eps files in your PDF.
