Hey Everyone,

I am trying to add a custom background image to the J-series phones and only seem to get 3/4 of the way.

I am using a IPO Rel 11 demo kit with preferred edition and UC module. The J-series phones work fine until I add the 44xx files with my changes for the background image.

I did the save as directly from the IPO (192.x.x.x/44xxsettings.txt) and (192.x.x.x/46xxspecials.txt)

In 44xxsettings,
I kept everything the same but added "GET 46xxspecials.txt" to the bottom of the txt doc. This was suggested to me from another Avaya tech previously.

In 44xxspecials
I modified to include under # J1X9SPECIALS
SET BACKGROUND_IMAGE "xxx.jpg"
SET BACKGROUND_IMAGE_DISPLAY xxx.jpg

Both txt files were then uploaded to the SD card/primary folder using the embedded file manager.

I rebooted the phones and the picture is showing in the background, however I am getting the popup square saying "Acquiring service".

As soon as I delete the two txt files and reboot, the phones come up no problem with the default background.

Any ideas/suggestions ?

Edit-1= The image meets Avaya specs located in the knowledgebase

I tried that but still get the same acquiring service popup. As soon as I delete the 46xxspecials, the phones come back up.

FYI to add, the image meets the Avaya specs found in the knowledge base

Forget I said anything. Dummy mistake made here after I added the 46xxspecials file only as per derfloh's advice

Thanks derfloh. It worked.
Very much appreciated.
