Hi all, my company is in the process of upgrading all of our systems. The company doing the IVR upgrade needs us to re-record all prompts, and stuff, apparently they cannot pull it of of the old Conversant system. They are telling us that they need the audio files in the following format..
VOX files, ADPCM format, Bits/Sample: 4, Sample Rate 8 kHz, mono...
any reccomendations on the best and quickest way to accomplish this? I suppose I could have our voice talen sit at my computer with a mic and record them as wav files, then convert,,, or have her record onto the Val board, and I could ftp them off of it, but the IVR people want something like 250 phrases.. I was hoping there would be a quick and painless solution....
Thanks everyone..

they should be able to going into the directory and run a cp command on to the floppy drive of the IVR

Your audio files are in the .vis format, and probably in the

/lt/trans/sc/(application name)

directory.

You can convert them to .wav with the vis2wav tool.

On older systems in
/mtce/bin/vis2wav

on newer platforms in
/export/optional_features/AVir/root/vs/bin/util/vis2wav
