I've searched the forums and FAQs, but didn't find anything useful.

Is there a way to create a hit counter in DW4? I've tried the freebies, but they keep going out of business. It would be nice to have the ability to create one from scratch in DW, so I don't have to search for a new counter every 6 months.

Counters require some sort of scripting to be handled by your web server. Your web server must support Python, Perl, CGI, PHP or ASP to pull this off.

It is best to count visitors with your server's access log. Many servers offer site reports now. This gives a better representation of your site's activity.
