What is the purpose of this account. We seem to be experiencing problems relating to this account, & virus activity.

I have now removed IIS from our server. Is it safe to delete this account etc??

Are there any resources on the web which will explain the usage of this account?? James Goodman

iusr is used by iis for anonymous connections, so if you don't have iis, you can delete it (disable first, just in case)
