Does anyone know the password used by OTM when syncing the ITG Line cards? I hooked my laptop up to watch the messages while trying to do a get and put from the itg line card and it keeps saying "login failure". This is when OTM is doing an FTP "put" or "get".

Which password is it? Where do you set the password from the telnet prompt?

We had a wierd problem occur today which took down our Call Pilot but fixed it by changing the CP ELAN IP address. Now I need to get it changed on the ITG.

I believe it may use the PDT password. If your running Rls 3.0 on PBX ITGLine defaults to your level 1 password login.

You say changed the elan ip of callpilot, does that mean that you also changed the ip of elnk?

Have you changed the mgmt ip adress of all your IP-line cards?

What software are you running on the IP-line cards?

Need to know questions...

I2007,

Yes, the ELAN IP was changed in LD 117, and was also changed in Call Pilot. I actually changed it in the ITG card also. However, it won't link up with the core. I can ping each of them either way (from each other).

The management IP shouldn't require a change. That still works fine. The ELNK Meridian CP IP is what changed, requiring the ELAN Ip change on everything else.

The ITG Line card is one of the earlier 24 port 2 slot versions running 3.0 software.

Does anyone know off hand the vxWorks user and password in those itg cards? I have it in my notes somewhere and can't find it.

Both my ITG Line 2.x card and my ITG Line 3.x card were supposed to arrive with flash cards in them. Neither did. Is there a little mouse in the Nortel warehouse that has a taste for flash cards?

The answer to your question is simple!. ITG Line card (Unlike the Trunk card!) uses the Meridian's PWD1 Name & passcode. You must have "Named" Login enabled first!.
Whenever the system does a EDD, the latest PWD1 Name & Password is sent into the ITG Line card.
This catches a few people out.

All the best

Well it turned out to be a bit simpler than that I'm afraid.

Fact is, I still have no clue what OTM uses to authenticate to the ITG card when it does it sych. It can't be the second level password, as I have never found any place to give it the second level password. But it DID FTP the correct data to the card once before it started this long line of unsuccessful communications. Turns out it was the anti-virus software causing the issue. A reboot of the OTM server and everything was great so far as that goes.

However, even with all the right data being programmed in the card, and being able to ping the switch ELNK from the ITG card, and being able to ping the ITG card from the switch, it still would not link up and go online. We did an INI and it is working great. Sounds like a Succession 3 bug. This didn't occur on 25.40B.
