I am having a problem with intervlan routing on my 4506.

I am trying to route between vlan1 , vlan3 , vlan5 and vlan6.
I have ip routing enable. The nodes within the vlans would not talk despite all the logical segments being all physicall connected. I enabled and configured both RIP and OSPF and I still could not get them talking. Is there something I could be missing ?

Do a show vlan on the 4506 , it should show all the vlans you created . If it doesn't you never created the layer2 vlan . Many people don't understand the difference between the layer 2 vlan and the layer 3 SVI for the vlan . If you only created the layer 3 SVI "interface vlan XX" then you did not create the layer 2 vlan and they will never talk .

You know, I was very tired on that friday, and I may have missed that. I will look today. Thanks.
